BARRY L. BRICK, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer
Barry L. Brick is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Nine Thirty Capital. He is responsible for, among other things, all accounting, operations, compliance and information technology for the firm. Mr. Brick has more than twenty-five years of experience in the securities industry, involving all aspects of finance, operations and compliance.
Prior to joining Nine Thirty Capital, Mr. Brick was Principal and CFO/CCO for Guidance Capital, LLC (Guidance), a registered investment advisor managing a series of hedge fund-of-funds. At Guidance, Mr. Brick led a group responsible for all financial, operational and compliance aspects of the various funds. Mr. Brick was a member of the investment committee and headed up the operational due diligence team responsible for initial and on-going reviews of underlying mangers. He was also part of the management team responsible for the sale to, and the integration of, Guidance's business into William Blair & Company.
Prior to joining Guidance, Mr. Brick worked for SEI Investments. At SEI, he first managed a variety of financial and business processes within the firm's Investment Services unit and later served as Director of Product Development within the Fund Services Division. His final position at SEI was developing new business for alternative investment operations, separate account processing, and mutual fund administration and distribution.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Brick was a business unit controller for Kidder Peabody & Company. He was also an auditor in the Emerging Business Practice Group at Price Waterhouse and Company.
Mr. Brick graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in accounting and received an M.B.A. from St. Joseph's University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and serves on the Finance Committee for Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the Delaware Valley.
